This post is all about toy organization.

Toys. They can add so much delight and joy into a child’s life, but keeping them organized and off the floor can seem like an impossible task. If you’re struggling to find a way to keep your kids’ toys under control and want a space that looks attractive and organized, you’ve come to the right place. In this article, you’ll learn practical tips, tricks, and strategies to help you tackle your toy organization woes and create a play area that both you and your kids can enjoy. With a little bit of effort, we’ll show you how to transform an unruly jumble of toys into a neat and organized haven that’s easy to maintain. So let’s get started!

Humble Crew Extra-Large Toy Organizer
This Toy Storage Organizer is an absolute MUST HAVE for all playrooms! I purchased the Espresso and White version, but there are a few color options. There’s 16 different bins including 12 standard size and 4 large sized bins. All of those toys that are usually scattered all around the floor can easily fit in these bins! And with the way it’s designed, your toddler can help you put away the toys, making clean up time a breeze. Sometimes they get mismatched, but generally, I categorize the bins for different types of toys, which also helps my toddler advance their sorting skills.
mesh Storage Bags
Say good-bye to clunky puzzle and board game boxes that take up WAY too much closet/shelf space! Use these mesh bags to store puzzles, and board games to save a ton of space! Easier to store, and easier to sort through. I just cut out the game title or cover from the game/puzzle box. Then I just tape it to the bag using clear packing tape! You could also just cut out the board game name and attach it to the zipper handle. Whatever you prefer. (For puzzles, I’d obviously recommend cutting out the entire puzzle image from the box!)
Creative QT – SlideAway Toy Storage Organizer & Play Mat
Calling all Lego Moms! You NEED this toy organization life saver! Legos are great and all but holy tiny pieces EVERYWHERE! It’s really a perfect toy storage solution for any small toys. (Hot Wheels, etc.) It has a 52″ play mat, and a 3 inch lip which helps keep all the pieces on the mat. Then when playtime is over, you can simply slide/dump all the little pieces right back into the compact storage bin! Game-Changer!
Hanging Shoe Organizer
Who ever said these things are just for shoes? This hanging shoe organizer has a secret talent for Barbie Storage! (I also use it to store cleaning products in my bathroom) So if you’re looking for toy organization ideas, definitely add this to the list, and discreetly tuck away barbie and all her friends in the closet when they aren’t being played with!
Over Door Organizer
Here’s another great toy storage idea. This also works for Barbie and all her millions of accessories, along with a ton of other toys. I love using over the door toy organization because it gets a big chunk of toys totally out of sight, which just makes the space looker cleaner, and less cluttered. I think all moms can relate to my distain towards clutter!
Wekapo Stuffed Animal Storage Bean Bag Chair Cover
If stuffed animals are slowly taking over your home, this super creative bean bag storage is a super fun option! Not only is it a place to store your kid’s stuffed animals, but it also gives them a comfy place to sit! Hidden toy organization is the best kind.
Stuffed Animal Storage Hammock
If the bean bag chair isn’t your style for toy organization, then these stuffed animal storage hammocks are a great second option! Easy to hang, and they can hold a ton of stuffed animal friends! It may not be “out of sight”, but it’s off the floor, and still looks cute!
book Storage Rack
Every play room or kid’s room needs a book storage rack. I love this kind where the books are front facing. It encourages kids to reach for books more often when they’re looking for something fun to do. If you hide books away in a closet, or even a shelf where they aren’t really visibly displayed, your child is a lot less likely to reach for them.
bath Toy Organization
Don’t forget about the bath toy organization. I really like this option because it has multiple sections to sort different types of toys. I also really prefer this style where the sections are horizontal/side-by-side, as opposed to the taller versions. This makes it easier for little kids to reach, so they aren’t having to stand up and reach for things in a slippery tub.
craft Storage Cart
This craft storage cart has been an AMAZING addition to my toy organization stash. I use this to store my toddler’s coloring books, crayons, markers, colored pencils, construction paper, learning activity sheets, paint supplies, and more. It’s also great because she can grab stuff on her own, and she knows exactly where to find everything. For the bins that hold things such as paint, I put these child locks on them, and they work like a charm.
Organizing your children’s toys can often feel like cleaning a hurricane-hit home. However, with a few creative hacks, you can quickly and easily turn the chaos into order. Investing in the right types of storage bins and containers, creating a designated ‘toy zone’, and teaching your child to help with clean-up are all great ways to make the job simpler. The key is to be patient, consistent, and organized. By doing this, you will set your family up for fun-filled, organized adventures that will last for years to come. So, take a deep breath and get ready to make toy organization a priority in your home.
now that you have all the toy organization hacks…it’s time to put them into action!
